Dirt Dessert

 On Thursday last week for  procedure writhing we made a dirt dessert but it wasn't made out of real dirt it was made out of yogurt oreo's and and gummy worm.


How to make a dirt dessert

Goal: if you follow these steps correctly you will be able to make a dirt dessert

Materials/Ingredients
-Spoon
-Chocolate yoghurt
-Oreos/Chocolate biscuits
-Cup/Bowl
-Gummy worms(optional)
-Snap lock bag
-Hand sanitiser

Method/Steps
First you hand sanitiser
Now you pour your yought into your cup
Then you put your oreo's in the snap lock bag. Make shore the snap lock has no air in it.
After you have done that crush your oreo's using you fingers
Now pour the crushed oreo's into the cup/bowl
Now you mix all of your ingredient's together
Now you put the gummy worm in
Finally you eat and enjoy


Now that you have followed these steps you should be able to make a dirt dessert

Vincent Van Gogh

Vincent was born on the 30th of March 1853 and he died on the 29th of July 1890. He started painting at  the age of  27. Millet,Theo (brother) and Dauguin all influenced his work. My art work is my own copy of  the sunflowers that was painted by Vincent Van Gogh.

Inspiration-Linear Perspective

A horizon line is a straight line that goes through your page. A vanishing point is a dot on the horizon line that everything points towards.When objects get closer to the vanishing point they get smaller. A one point perspective drawing is a one persons view of seeing. This is useful for drawing seats and cities.

Buddy Day Creations

For buddy day my group is doing a Mexican girl called Iyla Garcia. My jobs for making Iyla was the face,the taco,the pants and the poncho. My buddy comes from Tepic , Mexico she has 5 siblings 3 sisters and 2 brothers and her mum and dad. she moved to New Zealand when she was 8. Her favourite foods are laziana, tacos, nachos and other spicy foods. Iyla's hobbies are soccer ,dancing ,playing the maracas and eating tacos. My favourite part of making Iyla was doing the painting because I love painting.

So far in maths this term I have learnt how to order fractions from smallest to biggest.

Class Speeches

This is a photo of me doing my speech. My speech was about Sophie Pascoe. I  did my speech on Sophie Pascoe because she shows the value of excellence. Sophie Pascoe shows the value of excellence because she is a disabled swimmer but she doesn't let that stop her from doing what she loves. I was proud of saying my speech to the class.

Cross Country Day

On Friday last week we had Senior syndicate Cross Country. The senior Cross Country was at Mingoue park next to water world. I had to run 1 km with the 9 year old girls. The thing I found the hardest was running around the park because it was a far run and it was hard. The thing i am proud of and I enjoyed was coming 2nd equal with my best friend Gina in rm 12.

Personification Sentences

In class we had to write some sentences about a old thing that we had been given. My old thing was an old tree. Here are some of my sentences I came up with.
The tree dressed it's self in moss.
The tree is pulling it's self apart.
The tree is bending it's self over.
The tree is staring at you.
The trees arms and legs are crawling out.

My waka

On Friday I filled up my waka. I was really excited when I was finished. I earned my by following the trumps which are Thinking, Relating, Understanding, Managing and Participating.

Space Dave

Last week Space Dave came in to teach the senior syndicate about space. I learnt that when you get sucked into a black hole you get stretched out and that is called spagettification and I learnt that Uranus is not actually called Uranus and I learnt that a galaxy is in a shape of a disc.`  

Doug Wilson

On Monday Doug Wilson came to room 14 because he wanted to say thank-you for our letters.
I think that a nick name for me could be crazybear.

Geomitry

What I have learnt so far about geometry is that 3D stands for three dimensional and 2D stands for two dimensional. I have learnt some new names about shapes congruent means same size and shape,parallelogram means opposite sides are parallel, polygon means shapes with straight sides and quadrilateral means shapes with 4 sides. I know that a face is a flat side of the shape and a vertice is a corner.

Jump Jam workshop

Yesterday morning Bret Fareweather came into Vardon school to teach us some tips about teaching others Jump jam. I learnt that we need to be confidant and have a nice smile . My favorite part about that was when we got him to sign our refill pads.

ANZAC

I saw canons firing at the Anzacs as they ran up the beach,

I heard lots of shouting as the lieutenants yelled at us to tell us what to do,

I felt extremely frightened as I tried to dodge the bullets,

I smelt the dusty gun powder drifting through the air,

I could taste the sand as it was flicked up by the soldiers,

I wonder whether I will survive or not.

The cyber buster show was about  not to bully on the computer.
I learnt that if you meet people on the computer you should never meet them in real life and I learnt  that if someone is bullying you over the Internet you should other block them or ignore there posts.
